Unit Pallets was established in 1968 and operates from a ten acre site in Golborne, Warrington. The Company has a policy of maximum flexibility, in terms of both manufacturing techniques and stockholding of raw materials and pallets, so as to provide a complete service to customers.

Unit Pallets Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of James Jones & Sons Limited (www.jamesjones.co.uk).  James Jones is one of the leading U.K. sawmilling groups and has a policy of reinvestment in its business so as to provide the highest levels of quality and service to customers.  This policy is evident in the continuous investment in Unit Pallets Limited, which has resulted in the latest technology in new pallet assembly lines, including two state of the art CAPE automated pallet assembly lines, effective heat treatment and kiln drying facilities, automated repair operations and recycling plant.

Timber pallets are a vital component in the handling, storage and distribution system. Timber in pallet manufacture is an ideal raw material because it is reusable, repairable, recyclable and very cost-effective. All softwood used in pallet manufacture is sourced from properly managed sustained sources.

Unit Pallets Limited was the first manufacturer of pallets in the UK to offer Kiln Dried pallets.  The company has recently installed a further two BES Bollman Kiln which has taken the number of on-site kilns to four, including three high capacity and highly efficient BES Bollman Kilns, increasing the company’s pallet drying capacity to the highest in the UK.  We now have the capacity to heat treat and/or dry all newly manufactured or repaired pallets, and can heat treat/kiln dry customers' pallets, packaging and timber.
